Get in Touch

Easter is an excellent excuse to grab some family time and we’ve decided to make a list of family friendly activities sure to get you in that springtime mood.

Tips For An Eggstra Special Easter

Easter Egg Hunt

Keeping the kids busy with this time honoured tradition is simple and fun. Whether you make the hunt fiendishly hard or adorably simple it’s a great way to see how resourceful and observant your kids are. For those feeling really adventurous (and not too fussed if the occasional egg goes missing) why not set up an Easter Egg scavenger hunt around your local area, get the kids out of the garden and potentially burning off the ridiculous amount of calories they are about to consume during the incoming chocolate binge.

Arts & Crafts Masterclass

There is no finer time of year to get yourself nice and mucky than at Easter. Break out the glue, glitter and paint to get creative. Easter serves up plenty of excuses for you to get crafty whether that be painting up eggs or going the extra mile and creating your very own Easter bonnet, hobbycraft sales are sure to be booming in the build up to Easter. We found an excellent list of fun easter projects created by the fine people at iVillage.com, have a little look and get stuck in.

Day Out In The Forest

If you’re lucky enough to live somewhere rural or particularly beautiful use these upcoming holidays and take full advantage. Pack a picnic and spend a day out amongst nature (weather permitting). Spring is a beautiful time of year and the flora and fauna will be out in full force to greet you. We’re lucky enough to live by the beach which for summer is ideal, but during spring time we recommend getting out into the New Forest instead where the fawns and baby bunnies will be frenzied and sure to entertain.

Easter Eggsperiments

This year British Science Week falls snugly within the Easter holidays taking place from the 13th to the 22nd of March so why not get eggsperimental? Need some eggsplanation? No worries the fine people over at Netmums have already compiled an eggscellent little guide to some Easter themed science for you and the kids to enjoy. Why let time off school stop them from expanding their minds? It helps that all the experiments are really easy, interesting and most importantly very fun.

Frozen Workshop

If like us you are based in the Dorset area and need a day off from the little ones then why not sign them up to this unique and delightful little workshop. A one day workshop for 5-9 year olds featuring dance, drama, singing, crafts & games and even a special visit from the Ice Queen herself. So bring them along, they’re sure to have a blast and you just ingeniously bought yourself a day off during the Easter break far cheaper than a babysitter. Because as nice as having the kids around, it’s nicer when they’re gone again.

Whatever you do this Easter, from all of us here at Event Insurance Services, we wish you a very happy Easter.
