Event Insurance Services Switches Underwriter To UK General
We have selected UK General to be the new underwriter for Event Insurance Services Ltd.
We have selected UK General to be the new underwriter for Event Insurance Services Ltd.
Established in 1996, EIS is the UK’s leading broker providing insurance for all types of weddings and events. With our 20th anniversary approaching, and ambitious growth plans for the next 3 years, Managing Director Peter Jones felt that the time was right to make the change.
“Our switch to UK General means that not only can we continue to grow our core business, but we have the flexibility to expand into new areas that we have previously been unable to consider. I felt that UK General were best placed to support us moving forward”.
Stephen Ekins, Business Development Director at UK General, said: "We've had a long-standing association with Event Insurance Services and it's great to be welcomed back as the company's underwriter at a pivotal point in its development and growth. Our capability in specialist and niche insurance means we can support Event Insurance as it expands into new areas and our teams have worked hard to ensure that its move back to UK General has been smooth."
With the increasing popularity of street parties, food festivals, music events and village fetes - coupled with the unpredictability of the British weather - meaning that the event insurance industry is very buoyant currently and this is reflected by the year on year growth that Event Insurance Services Ltd have experienced.
Supported by a network of 2200 insurance brokers throughout the UK, as well as direct working relationships with over 450 of the UK’s top venues and hotels, Event Insurance Services Ltd have a multi-million pound turnover, and hope to see our current turnover increase significantly with the appointment of UK General.
