Wedding Reception Insurance

Under our standard policy; many of our sections automatically extend to cover the wedding reception, on the basis that it proceeds and it is on the same day as the wedding ceremony.

These sections include:

• Cancellation & Rearrangement as these sections cover costs associated with the whole wedding; ceremony and reception combined.
• Failure of Suppliers & Deposits; as with cancellation & rearrangement, includes suppliers for the wedding reception as well as the wedding ceremony.
• Public Liability
• Ceremonial attire for hired items only
• Wedding presents whilst they are on display up until the end of the reception.

Of all of the covers which extend to the reception, arguably one of the most important is the Public Liability aspect, as a large proportion of our wedding claims come from damage to the venue during the reception.

Public Liability

If required, we can extend the public liability to cover the morning after the reception as well, should you venue want your public liability cover to expire once you and your guests have vacated their premises. Should that be required we can look to do so; and as long as there are not additional ‘events’ taking place (i.e. a wedding brunch) and we can add it on at no extra cost.

Equipment  Cover

Should you have hired in any specific equipment for your reception such as a Marquee, we can look to provide equipment cover for this which comes with a standard limit of up to £20,000. This covers up to 4 days including the wedding day so can be insured from the day it arrives on site until it is collected.
