Michael's role at Event Insurance

Michael plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day running and future development of Event Insurance. His days involve working closely with team managers, supporting customers and making sure everything across the business is running smoothly, while also keeping an eye on the bigger picture.

A large part of Michael’s role is focused on how Event Insurance can continue to develop and improve. From working with new insurers and reviewing our website and application process to developing new products and finding more efficient ways of working, no two days are quite the same.

Michael's top tip for event organisers

“Have a plan for when things don’t go as expected. Whether that’s completing a thorough risk assessment, planning for bad weather or putting insurance in place for those ‘just in case’ moments, don’t simply assume it won’t happen to you. Things don’t always go wrong in the way you’d expect, so take some time to consider the ‘what ifs’, assess their likelihood and impact, and plan accordingly.”

Outside of work

Outside of work, Michael’s interests are just as varied as his working week. You might find him paddle boarding, practising yoga, enjoying anything food-related or simply settling in to binge-watch a good TV series.

When asked what he enjoys most about working at Event Insurance, Michael says:

“Definitely the people. We have a great team who genuinely want to achieve the best for our customers. It’s a very customer-focused company, which is a lovely thing to be part of. I also love that no two days are the same – there’s always something to figure out, improve or get involved in.”
