Alan's role at Event Insurance

As our Head of IT & Broker Support, Alan plays an important role in keeping Event Insurance running smoothly behind the scenes. Alongside overseeing our IT systems, he works closely with our broker partners, providing support and helping ensure they receive an efficient and reliable service.

Alan enjoys the variety his role brings, as well as the opportunity to be creative and find solutions to new challenges alongside a great team.

Alan's top tip for event organisers

“Events are about having a good time, so think about how you can provide the fun safely. Consider who will be attending, including children or anyone with additional needs, and walk through your venue inside and out to spot potential hazards and make provisions to prevent incidents. Most importantly, create something people will enjoy!”

Outside of work

Outside of work, Alan loves being outdoors, whether that’s walking, exploring new places or gardening and creating colour, flavours and new features around his home. He also enjoys his regular Tuesday trip to the pub and, more often than not, a restaurant on a Thursday.

What Alan enjoys most about Event Insurance

When asked what he enjoys most about working at Event Insurance, Alan says:

“I like the variety, the opportunities to be creative and having a great team to work with. It’s also great fun being part of the events insurance market; you can’t help but smile at some of the events we insure and the inventive ways people come up with to have fun. Worm charming is my favourite so far!”
