Q1. When should I consider insuring my wedding?
A. Once you start paying deposits you have a potential loss and you should therefore consider insuring the wedding and associated costs.

Q2. What if I have already paid a deposit?
A. Providing a loss is not already known then pre paid deposits will be covered once the policy is incepted.

Q3. How far in advance can I take out a policy?
A. Cover can be taken out at any time up to 2 years prior to the actual wedding day.

Q4. What if my wedding celebration is going to cover a number of days?
A. That is no problem our cover is flexible and can be extended for a small additional premium to cover a number of days.

Q5. Who needs to take the policy out?
A. The policy covers the actual wedding itself and not any one individual, so the insured can be the bride and groom or a parent or anyone with a financial interest in the wedding.

Q6. Is there a policy excess?
A. There is no policy excess applicable except for the public liability, wedding equipment cover and ceremonial sword cover sections.

Q7. How quickly are claims settled?
A. Naturally this will depend on the nature of the claim, some claims can be settled immediately whereas others will need additional information or even investigating, however we always try and deal with claims as quickly as possible.

Q8. What if my guests spill wine on the carpet or accidently damage the venue?
A. This is the only wedding insurance policy on the market that covers damage caused by the guests whilst at the wedding.

Q9. Does the policy also cover my honeymoon?
A. No the policy covers the wedding ceremony and reception but for the honeymoon you would need a travel insurance policy.
