Event Insurance Services lifts the Hillman Saunders Cup at charity football tournament

Dan Rose, Tom Ayles, Seb Morrison, Gary Langrish, Dan Seymour, Matt Furnell and Phil Staples – all from Event Insurance - took part in the recent charity cup organised by specialist recruiters Hillman Saunders held to raise funds for Help for Heroes.

 

Organised by the insurance recruitment firm, Hillman Saunders, Event Insurance Services battled it out against 19 other six-a-side teams all of which were from the insurance market. It was a tense match but Events Insurance battled through and won 2-1 on sudden death penalties in the final against Brit Insurance.

 

 

Every team paid to enter the event to raise money for Help for Heroes which took place at the London Soccer Dome, formerly the David Beckham Academy.

 

Lucy Scurlock-Jones, Managing Director of Event Insurance Services said, “As a Company we are thrilled, not just with the fantastic result but the continued involvement in raising funds for such a worthy charity.”

 

Thomas Cubitt, Insurance Manager at Hillman Saunders said, “It was great to bring some of the industry’s key players together and to raise over £1,136 for Help for Heroes. This is the first time we have organised a charity football tournament but it was so successful that it could well become an annual event and we hope Event Insurance Services will be back to defend their title.
